Announcements

Prajñā Vihāra has been accepted for inclusion in the Scopus database.

2025-12-24

We are pleased to announce that Prajñā Vihāra has been formally accepted for inclusion in the Scopus database, effective 23 December 2025. This achievement is important for us as a validation to our commitment to promoting research in Philosophy and Religion, especially relating to Southeast Asia. We hope that it will reflect well on the excellent authors who have published in our journal in the past and on those who will publish in the future.

We are deeply grateful to the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Collaboration Project (Phase 2, 2023-2026), the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Center, and the local board for their guidance and support in improving our journal and website.

We are now in the process of finalizing the license agreement with Scopus for content indexing. The editorial team will keep the editorial team, authors and readers informed as we progress through the indexing process.

Notice that the official name of the journal has now been shortened to Prajñā Vihāra.

Sincerely,

The Editorial Team

New guidelines on the use of AI for translation into English

2025-12-12

Based upon our experience we recommend that authors use caution when using AI for translation purposes. The temptation is for many scholars to write in their native language and use AI translation tools to convert their article into English. We recommend that if this approach is done initially, the author or authors should try to ‘rewrite’ their article into their own words to reduce the percentage of AI content to under 20 percent. Reducing AI content to a minimum is very important for articles in philosophy and religious studies, as ideas and concepts are being communicated which are innovative, creative, and stand outside of AI processing. The editors at Prajñā Vihāra believe that the disciplines of philosophy and religious studies should provide a resistance to the complete domination of knowledge by AI platforms.
